I know some really expesnive stero's for cars can play such
DVD+R (-) if yours does you will have to refer to your manual
which will list Disk's that yours can play.
Also you would need to see what formate music it would play
Eg: MP3 etc.. may affect compatilbty.
Something you will have to check yousrelf in the user manual

CD players play Cds not DVDs. Unless it's some type of dual system.

I guess you'd only be out the cost of a DVD if you wanted to try it.

Only if your player has DVD capability. CD format is different type of technology. But if your player can play movies then yes you can.

You need to find out if the spec of the cdplayer whether it plays dvdr. Or just give it a try

No. Cd players cannot play DVDs.

Not unless it is stated in the owners manual. or on the faceplate of the stereo it would say "DVD+R (or -) capable" or something similar.
The other thing is what file type you would burn the songs onto the DVD+R.
