I got a USB memory stick around the holidays, and no matter what I've tried, I can't get anything to be saved onto it. Copying files to it doesn't work, and saving directly to it doesn't work. When I got it, there were programs already on it, but I accidentally deleted them, and haven't gotten around to finding out if they're necessary. Do I need to download those programs again, or am I missing something?

sounds like you had a U3 flash drive. You may have removed software that allows this to run. check out the U3 site or the site of the flash drive's manufacturer, maybe that will help.

You dont need the programs on it... try to format it and then try accessing it. by the way are you doing this on one single computer? did you try to access it on a different computer? if yes then even after formatting if your memory stick does the same thing then it is a hardware problem....

all the best...
