I was looking in the small business section in Barnes and Noble and noticed a huge amount of non profit organization start up books and I want to know if that can benefit a person financially or is there really that much interest in helping others out for no profit. Thanks!

The books are there for those who want to help themselves. However there are also legitimate non-profits, some big and some small, that are purely voluntary and whose purpose is to help others.

There are millions of charities in the world that are non profit organizations (as far as the accounting goes) but for the owner, or top director, the management fees and salary can be extremely lucrative. That is why there are so many...It has nothing to do with helping people.
