There is no ZIP CODE - in India Like United States or other western Countries. In India each place where a post of is located it has a PIN (POSTAL INDEX NUMBER) only which will facilitate easy and quick dispatch of letters and other articles. It is also helpful to locate the place.

For Bangalore the PIN Number for the main post office is 560001. There are many postal divisions and it is mentioned as 560001, 560002, 560004, 560078 and so on. -
