1. It's a 24 hr clock.

2.There is no change during AM with the exception of 12 am.
Ex: 1am is 1am. 7am is 7am. 10am is 10am.

3. The change comes at PM. After the 12pm you just 'keep counting' (lol):
Ex: 1pm is 1300; 3pm is 1500; 10pm is 2200; 12am is 2400

>>>Military time simplified<<
Just add 2 to the time:
Ex:
1600 is 4 pm because 4+2 =6.
1900 is 7pm because 7+2=9

Military time is actually easier. The clock has 12 hrs. on it...when you count up to 12 you just keep going..13, 14, 15, etc. so you can count 2 times around the clock. If it's the first time you count around it's A.M/ if it's the 2nd time you count around it's P.M. so ex. if you say 13:00 hrs..it's 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Hope this helps.

usually it's by the 24 hr. format, anytime more than 12 just subtract 12 to get the time(in the sfternoon or night) eg. 1700hrs. 17-12=5pm.
