Toronto has an improving team, but not in the league with New York or Boston this year. Halladay is a top of the line pitcher, but the others are just OK.

While Toronto is a very solid team this year - it is very unlikely that they will make the playoffs... this is because the Yanks and Boston have so much more money than a team like the Jays and will spend it with no second thoughts and put together a contender every year... and if either of them have a bad first half of the year - they can be sure to make some huge trades for superstars which will put them ahead of a team like the Jays... while I would love for Toronto to take that division, it looks like we might have to wait until Steinbrenner no longer owns the Yanks for that to happen...
