battery not staying charge took the alternator to the shop says its good what else could it be.

battery, short ,they tested the alt wrong (they dont test for key off battery drains on a bench tester unless they really know what they are doing ) lots of stuff you need to test the car whole not pieces unhook the negative battery cable hook a test light between the neg termanaland the post see the light on you got a short unplug the alt first thain pull fuses till the light goes off now you know the circut keep going till you find it it may be as simple as the glove box or trunk lights

crap battery if the alternator works its got to the battery get a new one, check for damage leads, if theres a white powder around the connetions, its corosion pour some hot water on it.

A BAD BATTERY OR A SHORT IN THE ELECTRICIAL SYSTEM REMOVE THE BATTER CABLE AN REPLACE THE NEXT MORNING IF IT STARTS YOU HAVE A SHORT

something is drawing power when the ignition is turned off....

have you had something fitted recently???

is the radio staying on??

if not....then you may have to fit an amp meter & go around the car unplugging electrical connections till you find whats drawing the power..or where the short is...
