What's the deal with this? I've heard about it, it's on TV, a LOT. Many, many shows talk about birth control pills a la "maybe I forgot to take it last month!" And I'm pretty sure I've seen ads for them too, though admittedly I wasn't really paying attention so I may be wrong. And for some reason I seem to remember talking in health class about how birth control pills for guys weren't as effective because you had to take them every day, as opposed to ones for women, which would mean they're not daily pills.

Are there birth control pills that only need to be taken once a month?

IF ONLY IT WERE THAT SIMPLE LOL! I have not heard of this magic once a month pill and if I had, I would be on it. The answer is most likely no because I just was at the doctors after I had my baby and spoke with her about all the different birth controls. I told her I was not good at remembering to take pills, hence I have two children and I got a big fat IUD. She never mentioned a once a month pill and I am sure she would have if you knew of it.

I have never heard of a birth control pill that you take once a month. There are other forms of birth control, one being the Depo shot which is every 3 months. There is another form that you can have done its a implant that is inserted into your arm.
