I have an awful time keeping up with the bills and junk mail.
Bills go unpaid because the get lost or just simply get pushed back to the very back of the stacks. Things that need rsvp and attention seem to go unnoticed because I forget they are there in that huge pile of papers. I need a way to keep them organized in a small space.

they make a slotted box for days of the month, when you open a bill put it in the slot of the day you think you will need to or can pay the bill/put it in the mail. put the box somewhere you go daily, kitchen, or by your computer, make sure to check the days as they go by and empty them out as the days pass.

Well, I keep a large attractive wood box that has a lid on the top of it. It is a decoration, a very nice one. But what people
dont know is that it is filled with mail and bills. For the mail, I
have a specific table where I keep the mail every day.
There is a paperweight on the mail when my daughter gets
it for me after school, and then I come home, see it, and
get working. Also, many of my friends do online bill paying,
they say its fabulous. You should also order already filled out
reply (from) stickers.

Ok I ain't never got to the organized part, but automated billing helps a lot! I put my electric, phone, cable, and the rent on that (whew), also one of my credit cards I have the option it fires me an email 1 week before final due date if no payment.

That saves me from myself, I've tried many other options like filing and still it ends up piling, this method is not perfect but automated billing helps.

You can buy a cheap filing cabinet or one of those accordian-type file folders and separate your bills into the 12 months of the year. You can get the file folder at WalMart or pretty much anywhere like that for very little money. But it's up to you to keep it organized and check it every month. Write yourself a receipt of the amounts paid along with the date, check number, confirmation number, etc., and place it into the file every month so you know what's been paid and what hasn't.

Almost all the online bill payment services are really good. You can do e-bills or your can use their address as your billing address and view your bills online, make rules for payment, etc.

p.s. Why did you link to me? Was it a particular question? Do I know you?
