Get as much ram and as big a hard drive as you can.

Personally, I would not recommend a Toshiba laptop. Within a three month span, (1) my work laptop blue-screened and nothing could be recovered from the hard drive and (2) my personal laptop died and the motherboard had to be replaced. Both were less than one year old (my personal laptop was only 6 months old) and different Satellite models.

If you are really dead-set on a Toshiba, definitely get the warranty!

You should get a Toshiba Satellite notebook. A fingerprint scanner is for security purposes. Your computer will recognize you by your identification through the fingerprint scanner.

I reccomend the Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467. It has awesome specs and is less then a grand. The finger print scanner is for security purposes. GL
