rinse them 2x daily with a warm water and sea salt soloution. Especially right after a shower. That is what my piercer told me to do and it worked for me. ...................And for the love of god- don't get them caught on a towel- don't let anyone touch them especially with their mouth. They won't be fully healed for 8 months to a year.

ps- the salt water soloution was easier for me for obvious reasons you will have to lie on your back and somehow prevent the cup from leaking all over you. Good luck!!

The best way to clean any piercing is to soak the ring in alcohol before putting it in you body. If it was done recently then slide the ring to on side an dclean with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol then slide to the other side and clean that side the same way. You may also want to put neosporin on it once a day. When you get ready to shower take a cup of hot water(as hot as you can stand it without getting burned) and add some salt in it. Hold it over the piercing. Basically you are soaking the piercing in salt water. It will help with the healing process, and keep the infection out.
NEVER USE PEROXIDE it will pull the metal out of the ring and cause an infection. I know this from experience. It happened with my belly button ring.

Just clean them as your piercer should have instructed you to. :P Don't touch them unless you're cleaning them and your hands are clean. And don't allow anyone else to touch them until they're fully healed. (Which could take a year or more.)

I'm not sure about nipples, but with all of the body piercings I have (except for my tongue, for obvious reasons. lol.) I washed them with Dial soap twice a day.

Don't use alcohol or bactine on them. Both of those products are not made for puncture wounds (which is what a piercing is). They'll end up drying out the piercing.

Also: DO NOT take them out if they do get infected as the "ER doc" said... That just causes your body to heal the holes and your body will trap the infection inside the piercing. If they get infected, keep the jewlery in, and go to your piercer. Doctors are so mis-informed about piercings it's disturbing.

Keep the area around the nipple clean and dry and for the next few weeks use an anti-biotic such as bacitration on the nipple and around the area of the piercing

don't take them out if you want to keep your nipple pierced.....get the pump liquid dial that turns to foam after you pump it.. wash the ring and rotate it as you go getting the soap in the piercing itself.... the use bactine... i used to do the 3 times a day... every time you rotate it make sure you hands are clean and then use bactine

Remove the rings from your nipples, that will end all infections and your nipples will regain their original handsomeness.

clean several times daily with 1/2 strength peroxide and alcohol...then cover with a small amount of bacitracin or neosporin if you are not allergic to any of the contents...
keep clean and dry, no swimming or soaking, hot tubs, try to get in and out of the shower
is any signs of infection, redness, pain, tenderness, swelling, discharge...remove them immediately and try again in a few weeks
good luck

a proper cleansing routine.

This should have been provided by the piercer.

ie. a mild none perfumed soap with a saline rinse.
