Ok this is a little bit complicated about 2 weeks ago i went an got a urine test cuz i was late for my period and it was negative. So i waited 1 wk and went back and did another urine and it came back negative again and this time they did a blood test as well and it came back negative. So yesterday i still didnt have my period and i was 18 days late i went back to the clinic an we did another urine an it showed up positive so they took more blood work to verify. I have yet to get the results back from it but the doctor sent me to an ultrasound today we calculated that i should be about 7 weeks pregnant. But while i was in the ultrasound the women kept saying she didnt see anything. so she had me drain my bladder and they did an internal and she still kept saying she didnt see anything. Im not stressed out more then normal, and im now 19 days late with tons of pregnancy sypmtoms. whats going on...is there still a chance im pregnant and its to early to see. i am a bit overweight too

It does sound like you're not pregnant, but on the other hand, it is possible. I have had many many ultrasounds done, some as early as 4 weeks and they can see the sac. I have also had many internal ultrasounds as I'm a bit overweight too. The internal ones get right up next to the uterus and if anything was there they would see it.

At 7 weeks they should definitely be able to see a sac and a tiny baby.

But you never know, so I would wait for the bloodwork results - they are highly accurate. Also, you may have been pregnant at first and miscarried without knowing it, hence the late period and then the negative tests, and you could be newly pregnant hence the the positive test, and if you are only just pregnant, as in 1-3 weeks, they probably wouldn't see anything on an ultrasound yet.

I'm afraid it's just a waiting game. Wait for the bloodwork, do more tests - do them first thing in the morning when the hcg is strongest in your urine. If you keep feeling pregnant and still don't have your period, keep nagging your doctor! Get more bloodwork if necessary - any rise in it at all shows pregnancy.

I just found out that I am pregnant with baby #2. I called to make my first appt and I have to wait until May 1st. Its killing me to not go sooner but I think they want you be at least 8 weeks pregnant for that reason so they can see the baby for sure on an ultrasound. It is possible that you are not far enough along. I have heard of this happening to several people. Don't stress out just do what you are suppose to be doing if you are pregnant.

Wow, that is a little odd. But, give it some more time and see what happens. I would see what the blood test said and if positive, then request another vaginal ultrasound. Your little peanut has to be in there somewhere if the blood test is positive.
Good luck to u. Hope u get the results ur looking for.

A tubal pregnancy can give a false negative--Also being overweight can make a external ultrasound hard to read/see, but they can do and internal ultrasound.

Sorry hun but I would say no..if they did an ultrasound and there was no baby or sac then it sounds like to me you were not pregnant.
