Yes; 5th graders have nothing else to do but study ridiculous random facts.

On average, the "typical" American is NOT smarter than a 5th Grader. In fact they often have IQ's below room temperature.
And what most of these "folks" fail to realize, is that a normal 5th Grader is only 11 years old; adding insult to injury.

yeah, but that show is friggen rigged.
the one time i watched it they used two words that i never even heard of and i'm a straight A student...
they already know the answers or they're geniuses or something..... it makes me mad....
Example: if i had to use my brains in the wilderness and a 5th grader did too, i would be the one to survive.....
thus i'm smarter where it counts......

I havent watched that show but, I would say probably no. LOL There are alot of things my kids are learning that I forgot how to do, because I havent been brushing up on it. I used to know the presidents in chronological order, not anymore but I bet my kids do. We forget, because we dont use it. At least I do! Im honest.
