A yeast infection is bacteria and yeast buildup inside the vagina. The usual symptoms and signs of a yeast infection is itching, irritation, burning, and vaginal discharge with a foul smell. If you think you have a yeast infection, you can go to your local drug store and get some over the counter medication, such as Monistat, and some Vagisil cream for the outer irritation, burning and itching. If the over the counter medications do not work, you may need to see your doctor. It could be a bacterial infection of some sort that may need antibiotics to treat it. Or if you are sexually active, it may be an STD.

You'll be itchy and if you scratch, you'll be scratching off white stuff.
It's a vaginal bacterial infection easily fixed with a 3-day treatment at the store, if it's your first one, go with the 7-day treatment.
