It was working but all of a sudden it started saying that there wasnt one installed. It's a Memorex. Can anyone help me?

Something must have changed on your PC since then & now.

Try reinstalling the driver for it by right clicking on My Computer ->Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> right click on the drive and uninstall the driver. If you restart, it should automatically reinstall the driver. If it doesn't do it automatically, you can go to the Memorex web page and download it off of their services and support section.

1 check your pc's bios setting along with data ribbon and power cable connections.
2 check pc's hardware config for adress conflicts and driver settings
replace the data cable or try switching the power cable if your pc has extra depending on your pc's power supply watt rating.
if all is good, and still no luck. try reinstalling the device.
