An important thing to keep in mind, regardless of which anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spyware and firewall you use is to keep it UPDATED, just as it is important to make sure you have all windows critical and security updates + =

Note: The way I have mine set is to only notify me that updates are availiable, but to not download them automaticaly. Then I can check to be sure I get just the ones I want. I then click on "custom", and after the updates have been downloaded I look them over to see which ones I want, then disconnect from the net, disable firewall and anti-virus program, and then install the updates, and then re-enable the firewall and anti-virus programs before reconnecting to the net.

If you have to ask, then you don't even want to think about it.

Download a virus scan program from Symantec or another quality company in this area. It may cost you $30, but that's cheaper then a new computer.

Install it. Run the scan. Pour a tall glass of your favorite beverage, pray and check back in 15 minutes.
Hopefully you'll be virus free and faster.

You should also run the free yahoo spy-ware program often. That will help speed things up too.

Well first off you wouldn't need to buy a new computer, just because of virus's. If it was really bad, all you would have to do is reformat the computer and reinstall windows.

The way you get rid of virus's is with a virus protection program. If you don't have on I suggest you get one, along with two different spyware protection softwares and I would get a firewall or turn on the one you have. If you go here you can get everything you need for free.
Download one virus protection and at least two spyware protection programs. Once downloaded, run the virus protection, after it's finished, do one of the spyware programs.

go to www.download.com There is a search bar at the top. Type in :
AVG FREE anti-virus download it then update it.. Then look for SPY BOT Search and Destroy..download it and update it.. After you update Spy Bot , click on "Immunize" on the main Spy Bot page.. let it run ..A window may pop up telling you, so many things have been blocked and there are so many that can be blocked... if it does , then click immunize at the top. This loads the definitions. Click block pages silently also.. Look for and download , Zone Alarm free fire wall also..You need one of these too. Then go to www. lavasoft.com and look for AD-Aware SE personal edition..Download it and then update it... These programs are all free..Then run all three programs. The Firewall runs itself.. You will need to run all three programs at least once a week..The AVG protects constantly. And can be set up to automatically update, and scan for problems. But you will have to open and check for updates and run the programs manually for the other 2.

u need to settle down. you wont need a new computer if u got viruses. At worst you have to format your hard drive and reinstall windows. As for manually deleting viruses from your computer, you virtuall cannot. You can download AVG antivirus for absolutly nothing and it works great.

If it's that many as you said, then you might as well re-format your OS. Make sure you do backups of your personal file/data first though....
Or you could always install an anti-virus, and do the scan....
