I would say "different from the norm" at the end.

I would have to say that it is a very fine thesis statement, with brief but precise information. But instead of "those" the first time put in "people with great ideas". This eliminates repetition.

It sounds like a good hypothesis. If you are using the scientific method, then you need to bring out the evidence to refute they hypothesis.
