I am running for leadership positions in certain clubs, and I would like to know what people are looking for in general, other than just plain leadership. I am looking for things to say/write for my platform. What would you look for in a leader/person for a leadership position?

I would look for someone who can be honest, stand up to his or her belief's and that can support what they say, and not let other people run over them. They must have a positive attitude in life and would stand up for a person who is in the right about something and can treat everyone equal.

I would look for someone who's honest, who can both make promises and keep them, who won't smear other candidates, who can compromise without being a doormat, who will listen to everyone's opinion and take it into account when making decisions, who has established positions on issues (and doesn't flip-flop), and who has clear, effective plans for problems that the organization may face.
