i spilled diesel fuel in the trunk of my car is there any way to get the smell out.

Clean up all the spill with dish detergent. It will take some time, but use plenty of detergent and rinse, repeat. Dish soap especially Dawn will trap and coagulate the oil allowing you to extract it. Once it's all gone and the trunk dries out, the smell should go away too. You can also put a few charcoal briquets in an onion bag and set back there. The charcoal will absorb bad odors. Use the stuff that isn't treated. Like, DON'T use Matchlight brand.

Try some powger fels napha laundry soap and vineger soak up what you can and just sprinkle on the area and leave the trunk cracked a little leave in a day or two and vacumne it out use a vacumne at a car wash and then sprinkle the vinegar and let it air out you may have to repeat a couple of times

The only thing I can think of is soak up what you can, shampoo the trunk area and leave the lid open to air dry.
