since pi is the ratio of the circumference to the diameter, if you know the circumference, you can figure the diameter, which is twice the radius.

Let's say a circle is 31.4 meters in circumference. Divide that by pi (3.14) and you get the diameter (10.) 1/2 of that is the radius (5.)

Circumference is C=2 x pi x radius

set the equation equal to your circumference, then divide away the 2 and the pi. you will be left with your radius!

good luck

circumference is 3.14 times diameter.
If the circumference, for example, is 30, then
30 = 3.14X
X = 9.554 This is the diameter
Radius is half the diameter, or 4.777
