Maybe this isn't what you are asking... but I associate the most with a Robert Redford movie named Jerimiah Johnson. Ironic, I suppose, that my favorite song of all time is Dire Strait's "Telegraph Road." I associate with the movie on several levels. One, and the one I find most attractive, is that he leaves his troubles and his life below... behind... in search of peace and honesty. Time after time, however, he is drawn into a costly situation for himself because of his kindness and concern for others. That I know as well. I'm not trying to say that I am exceptional in any way; just saying that I have felt what he felt when he lost so much because he couldn't bear to NOT help someone. I understand his frustration in the fact that his search for solitude and the fates' insistance on his suffering was always interupted by someone needier than he. Most of all, I can associate with his drive for peace, friendship and forgivness... coupled with his drive to learn and survive. The Orientals say that no matter where you go, there you are... and It's obvious in the movie that Jerimiah ran away to be with himself... and that's what he found. Ironically, no matter where I go... I seem to have just left. I can't seem to be in the same place with myself for a long enough period of time to find the things I know I brought with me.

It is a very rare movie by a guy named Harry Nillson, a musician from the 70's and also co-written by John Lennon. It is animated, called The Point. It's awesome and has a real great message in it...but VERY hard to find...but well worth looking for!

Memento, Mindgap, Waking Life... there is one or more that actually represents my life (a shy guy having problems in making friends and being the outcast rare guy.)
