Think "All the world is a stage!". Imagine you are an actor and the situation you are in is your play. You know your character very well, let that character speak for you!

For some people being able to break out of your comfort zone is all mental. Don't think to much, and when you break out of your comfort zone, DO IT WITH CONFIDENCE...
but for others, it's a small step at a time. Just take your time. ANd know that usually the best and most rewarding things in life are the things that are the scariest. You only live once, so live to the fullest! And don't be afraid of other people, they are only people, just like you!! Good luck friend.

Jump in a "cold pool" figuratively, or even literally too....
For example, say "Its either all or nothing, and i ain't leaving empty handed."
Or just go forth with fear, the pear will go away.
And this one works all the time for me....
Stop thinking and do, act impulsively (with respect to limits you know,)
Strike up a conversation with someone you don't know.....
Do something, Non routine...
Go somewhere that makes you feel weird and wing it.... I said weird not dagerous.... Lol :-) ...

Step by step and with some one who you know will be there for you.....im not talking about family, like a best friend or boy/girl friend.
