Take the area of the base, and multiply by the height. Or just fill an empty one with water and dump it out to see how much dumps out. Then have a beer and wonder what to do about the mess.

Rectangular prism - just take length X width X height

Triangular prism - take 1/2 X length X width X height

Volume= (area of base) x (height)

is it a triangular prism(BxhxL)...rectangular prism(LxWxH)...or something further up the prism chart?
