After reading, searching for many years, I found someone who explained something amazing to me.
We are born to parents and then month by month, year by year, we are taught all kinds of things. We are 'formed' mentally by those around us. We call this mental imagery "I" or "Me". We have a solid belief system and we stick by that as being 'what's real'.
We also have 'memory' and we live a lot thinking about our 'past' and our 'future'. It is a very inaccurate system because we really can't recall the past entirely correctly and we never know what the future is bringing.
After he explained all of this he said, "You are not your conditioning, your belief system, your memories...YOU ARE SIMPLE AWARENESS" Much like a fresh, newborn baby.
The 'trained' thought processes are constantly crowding in to remind us of that "me" that "I" that was formed by society...whereas, the simple awarenss is totally ignored.
To live an active, funfilled life, doing everything one has always done, BUT through the eyes of simple awareness is freedom.
The mind will chatter and fight and that's okay...let it ramble
on...just know your 'original face' is awareness.

Key Word, "ultimate": "No one granted me this life. Ich Bin!"
(The Highest Name of God in Hebrew is 'ahih', meaning 'I am'. Beyond this 'ultimate', in which 'your' is no longer, one might say "I believe in nothing; yea, I believe, in (the context of) Nothing."
But then the Daoist preference is of quite a subtle application and few are suited to its immediate appropriation.
"Go! For IT!" might also suffice, as in "Demanding answers, know more, and with Purpose strive, living well and for Good, as you envision such, allowing such to become and evolve thereby."

To give me the life granted i must be worthy of that gift and realize that each life has purpose and to be making my life mean something to whomever granted me this gift.

Just that I am greatfull that I am so blessed with the life I have been given, and I need to appreciate my family and my surroundings more than I do.

I think of all the people who thought they'd have tomorrow and didn't.... of all the people that thought someone they loved would have tomorrow, but didn't. Be thankful when you wake up and have another day to do all the things someone else couldn't.
