I would switch to American Sign Language. That counts as a second language for college and then you are working with a language that you already know. My daughter is a junior in high school and is taking ASL. She LOVES it. Says that it is pretty easy and very fun.

you thought a dead language would be easy?
try making flash cards for vocabulary, ask the teacher for some help, review, try online translators/tutorials...
you could always switch into another language or take a different language at the collage you go to. Not all require a foreign language. Others require more than two years.
sorry, wasn't much help was I

You might want to check with the colleges you are interested in. Most won't accept Latin as the foreign language anyway. They want modern foreign languages at at the majority of them with very specific lists. Then choose a language you might actually need to use one day. I recommend spanish to my kids because of the number of spanish speaking people in our area and that way they can get practical usage which in turn helps them learn the language.
You don't say what grade you are in, but you might want to consider going to a community college for 2 years before trying to get into a major college which will increase your chances of acceptance.

With respect, they would greatly appreciate it if you would master ENGLISH first! Really.
When you complete the essay portion of your COLLEGE application, make sure you use that spell check button.
With regard to learning a new language, the more you hear it, see it, and speak it, the better you will become at it.
