I truly can't see what a 40 year old would have to discuss with a 19 year old in the long term, unless he is emotionally stunted and can't relate to a mature, seasoned intelligent woman. To me, this would only be about sex on the man's part, and money/daddy figure on the girl's part.

I forty year old friend of mine dated a 19 year old girl a few years ago. he was older than both of her parents. Actually, he started seeing her when she was 18. At 18 or 19, the age difference is too much. Just getting out of teens and just getting into middle age don't mix that well. Maybe when the 19 turns 25.

None of mine concern but I would gather that the 40 year old has maturity problems and that the 19 year old lacks social skills or has deep seated need for a "mom" or "dad". But really, even if that is the case, I don't think it is much of an issue and certainly non of my business.

I'm a mature (giggles) 26 yr old dating an immature 44 yr old. It's right for now.

We live together, my dad loves the guy, and we are happy. I feel like he is the best guy I've been with.

It's not money because I make more then him, and it's not sex because I'm not all about that.

It's about two people feeling comfortable in themselves with each other and enjoying their time together.

I've tried dating guys my age, and frankly, they just don't have what I want in a guy.

They are both adults, but I think do to the age difference it won't last long. Maybe a few months. or a year or two the most. Given the way of our present time when even relationships that are close in age don't last. Then why not? Go for it.

My guess is the 40 year old is male?
Tell that 19 year old to run like hell. She's being used by (probably) a married man.

As long as the 40 and 19 are happy with each other, it's no one else's business.

I say Let them be happy. If they are in love then why should the age difference matter love is love age doesnt matter :) and i dont think its right for ppl to say its nasty its not like 40 yr old men adn wemon are all saggy and uber old that they cant even move. ppl need to pull their head out of their butts and stop talking crap when they reallydont know anything.

Both parties are legal adults...so, there's nothing legally wrong about it.

But the 21 year age difference is kind of odd. Some might see it as disturbing, but I personally see nothing wrong with it.
