I think as long as they stay healthy they can give any west top team a scare just like last year! Watchu think?

The lakers are my favorite team by far. They have the best player in Kobe Bryant, no one comes close. They can and will go deep in the playoffs if they are healthy and if the role players step up especially, Parker,Odem and Andrew has to provide a strong inside presence. IF those things happen they could possibly win the west.

They are a great team but they are not knocking out any of the top teams in the 1st round. They'll give them a scare even take them to 6 or 7 games but the Lakers won't make it out the 1st round.

They have the potential to go deep if they do these certaing things.
1. Focus on Kobe more but don't let him get to ball-hoggish.
2. Stop worrying about their D' because Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, and kobe know what is expected of them and they do it quite well.
3. Run the Ball HARD!!! because that is what the Suns,Mavs, and Warriors do and the warriors have potential to go deep second round.

Kobe is like Wilt Chamberlain. He puts up great scoring numbers. But he will never win another championship until he learns to pass the ball. That's what happened to Wilt. When he started passing the ball, they won a championship. For sure, they aren't going to win it all. Go Utah Jazz!!!

NOOOO!!! No focus on defense will be their downfall. Kobe is great, but that's it. Teams will attempt to wear him down and make him use his teammates to win games and they don't have enough grit and determination to beat San Antonio (4 Times) who is the most complete team in the NBA.
Maybe next year.

more like will kobe go deep in the playoffs. he is their team. if he was on another team the lakers would be worse than the celtics.
