American Idol?

Don't you get it people, if you are a follower of any of the 3 religions of the bible land, islaam, christian or jewish you can't have a monotheistic religion without a law stating that you can't worship idols, and now you stand here today forgetting that law and worshipings stars, its ridicoulus, I don't follow the stars because it is agianst the religous law, sure its fun but dont understand, stars are not Idols, they are simply sucessful people, who rose to fame by movies, singing and other stuff. I think that if we all stopped worshiping stars and things like american Idol we would all be alot happier and more independent

I don't look at it as if I am worshiping them. I watch it just like any other show. I think that they are talented people who some famous people are giving a break so they can shine. I don't worship any of these people or shows. I do not believe that they will help me come closer to faith or religion. I watch purely for the entertainment of it. It makes me laugh. It makes me smile and smirk. I don't worship the stars as if they were actual idols. I also don't think that there are that many people who view them as actual idols. I also don't think that people view movie stars and famous vocalists as actual idols. Or even worship them like they were. Yes there are some people who are out there that are quite excessive in their so called love for a particular star but that does not mean that everyone is the same way.

Are you married? Do you look upon your loved one and adore them? Do you say to them I love you more than anyone else? Some people could characterize that as idolizing them. Would that not be the same thing?

I don't think that it is fair to say that we all worship the stars as if they were idols. But again it is just my opinion.
