No, bluetooth is a wireless technology that has many uses, such as a wireless headset. You can also connect your phone up to your computer if you have a bluetooth chip built into your phone. And no you dont need to have internet for it.

Bluetooth is a way for devices to communicate wirelessly with other Bluetooth devices. For example, you can get a bluetooth headset which will let you use your phone hands-free without wires. You are also supposed to be able to transfer data between your PC and PDA and phone, etc etc, if they all have Bluetooth. You don't need Internet for it ... It's got nothin to do with Internet.

It's a wireless method of devices communicating between themselves. For instance, with Bluetooth, you can wear an ear-piece and talk on your cell phone hands free, without wires connected TO your cell phone. You can call your house and open your garage door (I heard that somewhere, never tried it...)
It's all good. Once you get the hang of it, you'll love it.
But no, internet has nothing to do with it at all.

it means your phone can talk to other bluetooth devices. you can send information (documents, photos, messages, etc) directly to that device without using the internet. Laptops, PDAs, phones, etc are often equipped with bluetooth these days. You need to turn your bluetooth on and then have the other device turn theirs on and "search" for available bluetooth devices.

With bluetooth you can connect to a different phone or a handsfree wireless device....it is high tech and does not require interenet at all but it may lower your battery faster

Bluetooth is a program to send other mobile phones images, music, videos, etc. for free! for example i want to send you a funny video, i send it via bluetooth to your phone. Of course both our bluetooth devices have to be on right? hahaha!
