Pneumonia = no birth control?

Today I went to the doctor and found out I have pneumonia. I forgot to mention to them that I'm on Yaz birth control. I'm now on antibiotics - should I stop the birth control?

No, the birth control won't affect the antibiotics. It is the opposite; the antibiotics make the birth control not work as well. So don't stop the Yaz, but don't count on it for total protection either. Use something else in addition to the pill for a while.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, but to be safe, call the pharmacy and inquire about possible reactions in taking antibiotics and birth control pills.
