That is how many Revolutions Per Minute your car engine rotates. This and the amount of pressure that your pistons defuse equals to the amount of horsepower your car can produce. Small engines usually rely on high RPMs to produce power, while big engines rely on the pressure or displacement.

RPM'S equal Revolutions Per Minute. This term directly relates to the number of revolutions the crankshaft inside your motor turns 360 degrees per minute. While the engine shifts gears either with an automatic transmission or standard trans you will notice the tachometer constantly reads the RPM of your motor. I hope I didn't confuse you. Best Wishes!

Revolutions per minute. An engine spinning at 6,000 RPM has its crankshaft turn 360 degrees 6,000 times in one minute - or 600 times per second.

revolutions per minute, the cam shaft in your engine that runs the pistons which fire the engine and turns the transmission which makes your car go. generally speaking the highere the rpms the harder your engineis working and teh faster it is or will go. though your transmission has soemthing to do with this

That means Rounds (or rotations) Per Second.

It tells you how many rounds your engine makes every minute... if you get into the red area thn thats where u can run into problems. 4 example 6,000 rpms means your engine is tearning 6 thousand times every minute. All u need 2 kno abt that is stay away frm the red area on the rpm's.

Revolutions Per Minute that the engine turns, but they "all" have different "Max" RPM's that they can run at effectively!

Revolutions per minuet. How many times the engine parts spin around in one minuet. 7,000 is pretty high for most standard car engines. They idle around 1000, and on the highway go around 2500 to 3000 depending on your speed and the gearing.

RPM = revolutions per minute. this refers to how many times the pistons go up and down per minute.

6,000 or 7,000 would be what they call red line (where the red starts on the gauge), this is considered the danger zone, the engine is moving so fast you risk causing damage.
