Or are they just so full of hate that they wouldn't like him simply because he's a Republican?

Let me add something to the question:

If President Bush did everything that Liberals said he should have done with their 20/20 hidesight, would you like him, or still find something to complain about?

Nothing. There whole agenda is to oppose ANYTHING he attempts to accomplish. It is there only hope to gain the white house. Any supporting by any Democrat (Lieberman) Moveon.org ostracizes and emasculates. The far left moveon.org machine has put Palosi and Dean where they are.
If Bush succeeds the Democrats lose seats and the white house. /they can't be bi-partisan because they love their party far more than what is best for America.
Moveon.org has gone as far as threatening to twist their grass roots faithful followers against any Democratic candidate that doesn't lay the foundation for their ultimate goals. Dems are attempting to look moderate at time being to gain the white house and more seats. Yet make no mistake their far left ideology will eventually be pursued and power will be abused far more than the recent Republican abuses and derelictions were.
Moveon.org controls each Democratic candidate and that scares the crap out of me.

Bush and Cheney resign. Pelosi takes over in the presidency.

Then all Republicans resign from all offices and Democrats become the only party legal.

some wouldn't, of course, just like no matter what, some conservatives wouldn't like Clinton...

but many would at least respect him if he tried to be honest and if he seemed to think/discuss with others his actions before he took them...

apparently that's asking far too much

If the democrats have any sack they will impeach the man. He made the single worst decision of any President in our nations history. I know its a bitter pill to swallow, but that is a fact.

If the president would have done everything we have ever asked for the religious lunatics would have called for blood.

Yes, he would then be our champion, and the republicans would kick him out.

It is possible to please us, but you can't expect liberals to become conservatives.

At this point, there is not enough time for him to redeem himself. But it would be a good start to wrap up this war. I know I would not love him then, but my level of hatred toward him would not grow anymore. It would more or less plateau.
