Do you normally ovulate mid-cycle? Did you see ewcm mid-cycle this cycle? Were you ill, overly active, or under rested as you approached your mid-cycle? Many things can affect ovulation.
Also, sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference between the ewcm, seminal fluids leftover from recent intercourse, and even one's own arousal fluids produced when becoming "turned on". They can be quite similar, only the ewcm will stretch without breaking for quite a distance (1+ inches usually) between the fingers, and will stretch and stretch and stretch again. Seminal fluid and arousal fluid tend to stretch only a tiny bit between the fingers, and will only last for one or two stretches before their water content evaporates and they lose elasticity. (Sorry for all of the graphic detail!)
The typical pregnancy mucous is generally clear or creamy and produced in copious amounts, but isn't necessarily very stretchy either. As with all other cm signs, though, it can vary widely from woman to woman so it's difficult to tell from just one example whether this is pregnancy mucous or not.
If you have a fairly normal cycle length, you are right on the verge of getting (or not getting) your period! I know that the waiting is excruciating right now, but you shouldn't have to wait much longer! If this *is* the first fertile cm you've seen this cycle, get down to business (just in case, right?), and settle in for a little more waiting.
I hope everything works out for you! Good luck with the babymaking! *~*~*~* baby dust *~*~*~*

That would mean you are just now ovulating. Some cycles are off like that and some of us just never ovulate til that late or later. Sometimes "leftovers" from baby-dancing appears VERy similar to ewcm so it may be that as well. There is a way to tell-drop it in a glass of water, one will sink the other won't but I don;t recall which is which-I'll look it up and add an edit. Do you chart? Google search basal body temperature if you don't. Most charts have a space to chart cm and other signs as well.
edit-ewcm will form a ball and sink to the bottom, anything else will dissolve.

Could be a sign.
Are you normally regular? Are you taking your BBT(basal body temp)
Cervical mucas changes at ovulation(thin, stretchy, clear) to thicker and white(after ovulation to protect the cervix)
Wait a few more days, if you are still showing cervical changes, and are showing other symptoms(tender breasts, extreme tiredness, ect) take a test. Good luck.

That stretchy/sticky stuff is the lining that would have 'caught' the little spermy when it swam that way. If you had sex a few days ago before this left your body you would have a good chance of falling pregnant.

Jeez some people can be as#holes. I dont really think you can tell if your pregnant from ewcm, maybe if there is an extreme amount, if not it is probably normal. If Iwere you I would wait another week and test. Goodluck

the stretchy stuff normally means ovulation ??? ...last i knew, .........but if you are on day 27 (what is your normal, mine is every 25) then there is a good chance you could be pregnant; not normal to have that within a day or so of an expected period. good luck to you!!!!
