You can try. I've lost weight in my pregnancy and still at 22 weeks and cannot suck in my belly...well I can, but doesn't do any good. The baby kicks more if I do. I guess she doesn't like it *LOL*. In the first month or so you may be able to, but probably wont farther along. I enjoy it though as I ave been wantng to have a pregnancy belly.

I'm 5 months pregnant, and I CAN still suck in my stomach, BUT, it's totally uncomfortable, and really doesn't do anything anyways!
Show off your pregnant belly!

You can untill you get a couple of months along. Once you start showing and your stomache begins to harden, it isn't good for the baby.

yes...and no...you can contract the muscle of your acutal abdomen, but your uterus still sticks out which is the "baby belly" that is visable so its no use..I'm 30 weeks pregnant and when I "suck it in" my belly only contracts about 1/2 inch so its not even worth the effort.

I never tried, nor care to really. I did just try now. At 36 weeks its pretty uncomfortable. Your pregnant, not fat...dont worry about it.

You can do the motion that you do when you suck in your stomach but when your uterus pops out from behind your pubic bone, it will have no effect and just make you feel out of breath.

Why? If you are pregnant, stick it out with pride, that's your baby in there!

No. It's not flab. It's a baby. A pregnant belly is as hard as a rock, not soft and squishy like fat.
