Do you think that Emma and Noah stay geniuses after Mimsy leaves? Were they just like that to help out Mimsy, and then everything goes back to normal? And will Noah have to start wearing glasses again?

I do think that they stay geniuses and Noah doesn't have to start wearing glasses again. In the oroginal science fiction story that the movie was based on, they hinted it was permanent though Noah didn't wear glasses in the story... or, if he did wear glasses, they didn't have him stop wearing them because of the alien effects. Plus, in the original story, it WAS humans from the future that sent the toys.

Does it really matter since this movie ruined a great Louis Padgett short story that makes us question how much we pay attention to our children? That makes us question how we treat the imagination of a child as unimportant? A story that questions our assumptions about how our vulnerable children can be taken advantage of, whether by aliens (not future earthlings) or other people? This movie had potential to capitalize on some great themes, but it turned them into Escape from Witch Mountain.
