Ive suddenly become very interested in becoming a skateboarder. I know its not just a fad, because I know that I want to do it for me. Would 14 be too late of an age to work hard and become great? Maybe even get a sponser?

no way! are you kidding? you can a great skateboarder at any age, even if you do happen to start at 14. You just have to work hard, you know. dont put it off too long or than you WILL be too old to skate, and you'll probably regret not skating because you thought you were too old. Starting now would be the best way. I know alot of kids who started a sport at a teenage year and had gotten pretty far with it. So give it try. you never know how it will turn out, even you do happen to be 14. but that hasnt stopped anyway who really wants to do the sport. Give it a try, and good luck!

no its not to late. i skate and started when i was 13 and i was doing 360 flips in a year and a half so so just work really hard and you can do it. it helps to have good friends to go out and skate with too. and at the begging its easy to care more about your board and if its cool or not than the tricks that your doing, when really its the tricks that count.

Never too late. Gonna be hard to become great over night though, and a lot of hard work and god giving talent.

It's not the fact that you're too young, its the fact that there is to many of you , it's not logical. It's like trying to become a professional athlete or musician. You would have to be very,very,very good. It's a phase it will become uncool in a year or two and you wont wanna do it. But meanwhile, just do it for fun; dont get you're hopes up

it is NEVER too late to start doing something you really like and that could potentially be a big part of your life. Its up to you how much you practice but its not too late.!

If you have the talent and drive, combined with a willingness to do whatever it takes to become good, 14 is not to late at all.

Yes, 14 is too late. The fact is by the age of 14 your life is completely set in stone, and you pretty much need to just accept the fact that you are getting too old to compete with the youngsters. You should just get into a good retirement home, and relax until your death.

its never too late to become good at something. go for it! your age should not matter in such choices! but be warned, you will have many a cuts and bruises by the time your good! have fun.
