They traded Adam to the Pirates for Relif Pithcher Mike Gonzalez. Laroche is a franchise player who will be a huge star very soon. He hit 30+ home runs last year. I Love the Braves but to trade Laroche wasen't the best idea.

Remember, you hafta give to get. The braves farm system is loaded with young, power hitting talent. It was a great move. Getting a young firey closer, to revamp a bad bullpen. The braves might steal the division away from the punk a$$ mets.

no, the braves desperately needed bullpen help and they got that in the offseason in guys like mike gonzalez and rafael soriano. in order to get good players, you have to give up good players. plus, laroche isnt that great. no one can tell what he will do in the future, but i dont see him being the next pujols or anything. throw in the fact that he wont have the help he had last year (andruw jones, chipper jones, brian mccann, versus jason bay, and.....well, no one)

I don't know about stupid but he will be missed. I liked Adam alot and thought he brought talent to the club. Good luck Braves see you at the Home opener.

I think it was a good move because it made one of the weakest bullpens in the national league into one of the strongest. Scott Thorman will be a good player when he develops and Craig Wilson is a very respectable utility player.

Yes, to tell the truth, i never liked Adam

but in consideration,
1)he never made to many errors
2)he always scooped up those balls that were throen to first
3)he is a slugger.

i thought it was. They get a closer of the future, shore up a iffy bullpen, make room for prospect Thorman.
