Why not go to both places, they are just a few hours away from each other anyway.
Each of them offer different attractions. Banaue offers a good feast for the eyes, Sagada offers peace most appropirate for a getaway during the holy week. Since you are taking a car, make sure that the driver is quite good in handling the tricky "one vehicle access roads" in some parts going up to Sagada. And in taking both places you can see Bontoc between the two places even for just a few hours.
Seeing the giant staircase to the sky is a must for Filipinos and a treat for foreigners. Sagada on the other hand is a natural place where you can go spelunking (caving), trekking and hill climbing. There is also a small natural pool where one can go swimming. But even without doing anything at all in Sagada, being there alone offers one some peace and inner quiet.
By the way, from Sagada, take the 7-hour drive to Baguio in coming back to Metro-Manila, taking the highest highway in the Philippines, the Halsema Highway, for a never to miss view of the green mountains and skies and of the vegetable terraces slowly increasing along the way, a would-be next attraction in the mountain province..

yup helping is right. sagada and banawe is not far from each other so you could drop by banawe first before going to sagada. it would be on your way so i see no problems going there. sagada would be a good final destination. their are hotels and lodges there where you could stay for a while.
enjoy the caves, the falls, and of course trekking and the really cool weather. have fun.

If you are to choose just one of the two, I would recommend going to Sagada. If you choose only banaue, it would be a waste of money and time not going to Sagada. I mean if you plan to go to Banaue, also consider going to Sagada then.
Both places take a lot of adventures. The road to both places are adventures themselves. Banaue's views are amazing and if you visit this place, at least you'd realize whyt it became one of the world's greatest wonders and why it was ruled out being the eighth.
Sagada is great especially if you are ready for adventure. There are two courses for caving: the short one and the long one. The long one would define what adventure really is.
