Yes, parents are RESPONSIBLE for instilling Moral Values in their Children.

UNFORTUNATELY .. these days, a parent can't be everywhere .. and most of the WORST that they will learn is from their PEERS in the School Environment, the so-called 'friends' that they will make in the school.

NOT all parents will have the same values as a RESPONSIBLE one. The ones that have the WORST values seem to be the ones whose children are out of control (making those seem so attractive to others the same age).

Yes, well, ideally they are. But you see, the problem is that some parents (and grandparents, unfortunately) don't have the foggiest idea about their own moral values, so can't teach what they don't know or practice, themselves.

Thankfully, not all parents are like this, but there are a lot of people who don't take their responsibilities toward their children seriously. Lord help us all.

I think traditionally parents have had the responsibility and the freeedom to instill moral values in their children. However with the explosion of media which often had implicit moral lessons or suggestions, it gets harder and harder to see the parent role as the only - even the main - influence.

Yes. But what are the moral values of the parents? Are they bigots? Are they psychotic and dysfunctional? I believe that childrens' education may be more significant in school, and that teachers are childrens' best hopes for a good value system. Support your teachers and your schools. More often than not, they are the ones that shape childrens' futures.

YES, you are the first person they know and it is your duty to instill good values (even if you preach what you dont practice) before they are exposed to other people. By then they will be able to know what is right and what is wrong. It is always easier and fun to do wrong than RIGHT.

Yes they are, but you cannot control what your child see's or collaborates with when you are not with them. All it takes is one bad grape and your child can be spoiled.
