Why do you have to poke fun at that? Maybe the person has a disability. Maybe the person's first language is not English. Maybe, heaven forbid, they just made a mistake. You make mistakes too. Want us to follow you around and point them all out to you?

I feel the same way! And, when we write online, like on answers, what rule says we need to have perfect grammar, we're not in school being graded, so why doesn't everyone else just keep their mouths shut, cough cough my brother.

I point it out when it is obvious 'chatspeak' as in 'plz cn u send me ur password to ...' that is irritating in the extreme. I also do it when the question is one designed to be irritating, just to have something else to pick at. If it is a decent question, then the spelling errors are ignored.

I think it is COURTEOUS to spell and type correctly. It really makes one look completely uneducated when you can't bother to hit the simple 'check spelling' button on every single web program available, including here on Yahoo answers. I give people MUCH LESS credibility if their answers are full of spelling and puncuation errors, but that's just me.

People do that because it either annoy them or irritates them. For me, I do not really mind because i understand those people.
