Why do schools/colleges call themselves INTEGRATED?

Question

If we were really in integrated schools/colleges wouldn't their be more African American teachers?

50% white
40%black
10%other race

Teachers at my highschool
95%white
1%black
4% other race

Their are many educated Blacks coming from black schools who can teach, why not hire some?
(Most of the teachers I had in high school, I knew more than them)

They aren't integrated. That's just what they label themselves as.

A better question would be "Why are there integrated schools to begin with?"

I am all for segregation. There should be White only schools with White teachers and black only schools with black teachers. Integration has been a disaster for all races involved and the country as a result. The jews pushed integration in White countries while they promote a Jew-only state in the Middle East at the same time.

Maybe a better question would be, why don't more blacks pursuing teaching as a career?

I don't think it's an issue of them not being hired. I think it's a lack of blacks with teaching degrees.

Maybe it's the area you live in? I honestly don't know why the schools you've been too weren't extremely diverse. There's a teacher shortage pretty much everywhere so I doubt they're overlooking black teachers.

you have to understand that at one point, it was 100% white. thats a big difference. it takes time, but at some point there will be a better mix. thats a good ratio of students you have. when i was in high school, we could count the minority students on 2 hands and no matter what nationality we were, the whole school thought we were all related!

Seeing how many teachers have to strike for better wages, does not make the profession enticing to ANYONE. Would YOU want to work for those wages? I wouldn't.
