Does anyone know of any one room schools still operating? I heard once that there still were a few hundred of them in the U.S, but I'm searching and haven't found any.

In Alta Utah (a ski resort town near salt lake) there is a school operated in the basement of a hotel, (for the few year round workers children) that is in one room, one teacher. I heard that there are about 12 kids, in grades k-10 currently.

i live in pennsylvania, and there are PLENTY of one room amish schoolhouses around our neck of the woods.

There were several in nebraska, but they were trying to stop their funding. I'm not sure if they did or not.
