Yep, we have emergency routes for each area of the house, an out-of-state contact number, 72 hour kits for each person in the house and in each car, fire extinguishers, 1 years supply of food for each person, emergency heat sources, cooking methods, etc. We are well prepared. Living in Utah on top of a major fault, it's not if the big one hits but when.

Yes, I do, actually. It's a mobile home, and the windows in the master bedroom are popouts, and the back door is right beside the master bedroom door. I also keep my keys, in my purse, near the door. The big thing that scares me is getting the cats out in case of fire. They don't exactly come when you call them!

Yes, several actually depending on the type of emergency.
It is good to have a plan, we pray we won't need to use them, but you never know.

tornado: grab cats...hide in closet under stairs
hurricane: grab cats.... leave....go up north
fire: grab cats....go to neighbor
other: grab cats...do whatever is needed
