Has anyone else viewed Saturn tonight? It's really easy to find.....very close to the moon. I viewed it using binoculars, and it has that dark yellow color. Also, I swear I could just barely make out its rings, although it still appeared quite small, and I don't have a stand for my binocs.

I haven't viewed Saturn tonight because of clouds, but I have viewed it with my telescope over the last couple of weeks. In fact, I've managed to take a picture of it through my telescope using a simple webcam. You can see the picture here.

Not tonight but I went out a few days ago. I live in the mountains and the nights are still a little chilly. I'll be going out more and more and Saturn is one of my favorite targets along with Jupiter and the Andromeda Galaxy.

I am glad you enjoyed the view, but, as a suggestion, try to find it when there is no moon. It will be much more impressive without the light of the moon flooding it out.

Enjoy. . .
