What is the effect of petrol if splash on to car paint and tyre?

nothing to worry about. it ususally evaporates in a few seconds. sond worry about it, that paint is made to withstand taht.

I would get the gas off of the paint, if left on there long enough it will eat into the paint. Gas is a solvent of a sort. I would also get it off the tire too.

yep fordmans right it will first eat the clear and make it look like crap then the paint then u have a nice rust spot and a hole in ur TIRE not tyre
