What "pet projects" do they think the American people need to fund now?

They use the money to enslave the poor. That is how they stay in power, with monthly checks and empty promises. It is sad they have had so many Black leaders for the sake of power, turn the blacks to that party. It was a republican president who freed the slaves. It was republicans who apponted the first black Supreme Court Justice,the first Secretary of State. It was people like Al Gore's father who voted against the civil rights act giving blacks the right to vote. It is ok for Democrats like Robert Byrd to have been in the Klan, and Joe Biden to say Barack Obama speaks well and is very clean. What an insult to a group of people, and yet they still support the party that promises more money for welfare, illigetamate children, unemployment, instead a way out so they can lead a productive life.

It’s "Not" that the Democrats wants to raise Taxes, it’s to pay off all the Bills/Spending that the current Republican Administration had created and put us in the Red.
If Taxes are raised, it’s to pay off money we borrowed from other countries, to pay for the Current War and Katrina and other issues we have in this country.
So when people say that Democrats wants to Raise Taxes, Well "Yeah” who else is going to pay the bills, We cant wait for the Bush Administration, He can’t even balance the budget.
The Current Bush Administration wants to SPEND, SPEND, SPEND and don’t like to pay the Bills.

To pay off the national debt accrued by the GOP and Republican Presidents.
Oh, wait. I forgot:
In the words of Dick Cheney: "Deficits don't matter."
But then I remember something else: Republicans and their supporters believe in the 'free ride' dogma. They think they don't have to pay their fair share in taxes, or no taxes whatsoever.
Let the middle class and poor shoulder the burden!

I'm sure they have some brand new entitlement program up their sleeve which will result in a brand new bureaucracy to operate. This will of course increase the number of government workers and the number of entitlees, both of whom will vote overwhelmingly Democrat.

not just pet projects, a radical shift in government's role towards its citizens. dems want to fund the gov't to coddle you from birth to the grave.
