i baught an camry 2007 ce and i want to add remote key alarm.toyota wanted to charge 500 for the factory part then the sales manager did a favour and told the service department that im hes cousin and they said they will do it for 295 but after market parts.
i was wondering if its really a good deal or the sales manager is fooling me?

Just go to any decent auto alarm shop. You will probably get a better alarm and a better price. Warrantees and insurance savings will pay for itself too.

your best bet is to shop around..go to another Toyota dealership in your city if there is another one. What you can do is buy an aftermarket alarm and have the dealership put it in. You can find a cheaper alarm sys that does the same exact thing as the aftermarket sys that the dealership want to put in for you. Heck , you may find the same exact one. Just ask what aftermarket brand they plan to use, then do a comparison on the net for the same sys. Hope this helped out
