Only when I'd been bad. I was raised in the good ole days...you know...when parents still disciplined their children instead of letting themselves get walked all over like they do now. My dad got me with the belt when I fought too much with my brothers and sister and my mom washed my mouth of with soap when I cursed or mouthed off to her. And I have never loved them any less for it. In fact, I have a very healthy, loving relationship with both of my parents.

Oh yeah. My father when he gave you "the look", or when he said his code phrase for when he was going to kill you. It was: "Would you like to go downstairs and put a jigsaw puzzle together?" You see, your body was going to be in pieces if you didn't immediately straighten up.
Mom, not so much. The only thing she did was to cry right before Dad got home, which was a guarantee thumping.
Yes, I was afraid. It kept me from screwing up in ways that I couldn't fix myself. This is not a bad thing.

Afraid? No....not really. I knew not to push the limits with either of them though. Kids should never be afraid of thier parents.

Not really because I could get suspended from school and they wouldnt be freaking out grounding me. But I had to get good grades though. Maybe that why im such an @sshole today, My parents didnt punish me.

well, to some extent I was afraid of my mother.
but not anymore. I became an evil teenager and that changed everthing. lol.....
we now have a better relationship that we ever did

I was afraid of my mother, she used to beat the hell out of me ---Not a very nice mother. But my dad--No way, He's the one that saved me from her wrath

hell yeah my mom was a beast she wooped my behind til one day when i hit her back and it stopped but seh kicked my *** when i did and then after that never again i was like 13 or 14 but not of my father he was a softy
