No- I think it is not for them anyway, it is about a parent going off the deep end & trying to live through the child....

noooooooo not at alll!!!!. i think it is the worst thing to do to a child. Look at the media today with models etc, who are ten times the childrens age. the child will start thinking things and wanting to be someone, when in reality.. they cantttt!!!. in society today, EVERYONE... including men, think we need to live up to this ideal image, when we really dont. we are all fine the way we are right now. If you think of all the people in this world that have body image issues... how about thinking of all the younger children as well who have the same issues... putting a child in a beauty pageant just makes the whole situation worse... I definitly recomment seeing the movie "little miss sunshine".. the message in it is great.

I'm not into that at all - especially w/children. I like a good healthy competition, but the pageants accentuate "looks" and there's so much more to people. So, No, I don't think they should be in pageants!

No, I do not think children should be in beauty pageants.
I think the Adult pageants are nothing more than Cattle auctions at the State Fair.

Not if they are called beauty pagents. Winners become brats who think they're the best in the world. Non-winners develop eating dissorders and plasic surgery addictions. It's lose-lose.
Scholarship pageants are pushing it. If girls REALY need it, then they should go for it.

No, those look like a form of torture and abuse.
It would be one thing if they left the children in their "natural state," but the kids are made up, fake-tanned, hair-sprayed, etc., it's disgusting!
Usually the mother's are overweight wretches living through their daughters. What a joke!

Yes, if the children enjoy it. Too often an abusive and abrasive mother FORCES their children to do it. And THAT is wrong.

depends if the child wants to be.
I was and I LOVED it!!!
However when I wanted to stop my parents let me no questions asked!
You should give the child options and always let them do what they want to do before what you want them to do.
Give the child a few different options. I'm assume this for a little girl so
singing lessons
ballet
sports
figure skating
beauty pagents
etc.

No way. Would you want your child parading about in full make-up and little clothes? It's perverse.
