A good sales approach - Fundraiser is One that will profit most without spending too much.

Service is best to offer. Provided a helpful hand for a fee and it started off Free so you didn't have to buy anything to put together.

Help with Lawn
Spring Cleaning
Car Washes
(typically held at Gas stations - but when i go get Gas I just want to get going because i have no time. A group of student held a car wash at the park over the weekend. Every car that comes to the park will stay for at least 30 minutes - so when my kids were done playing my car was ready.

Sell item that are lowest in cost but turns to bigger profit.
Target the schools sport games or at a busy event on a hot day.
Lemonade
Fruit drinks
Ice cold beverages
Snow cones
Bake sale near by a church or busy market.
All these items are cheap to make & comes in more quantity to sell.

Another good idea for High school is friendship grams -
cost less to make and people want to get into the populairty of buying lots to give friends. It's a trend to get one.
during holidays or just any friendship occassions. The group of kids make cards out of color paper (xerox in school or print out 200qty) & have each attached to a lollipop or a carnation (purchased at flower wholesalers 25 cent each)
The cute grams with a cany goes for 2.00 and the ones with the flowers go for 3.00 and the girls passes them out on the last class of the next day.
That worked well & profitted good for the kids!!!

I don't find much profit in events such as little carnivals, breakfast or lunch meals & stuff like that because the prices have to be real cheap to get lots of people to come and there is so much more details to put together & time consuming for many adults & teachers to coordinate.

I'm familiar with school clubs and social group projects so we as parents came up with these idea with the children.

Have the people who are invovled pitch in a few dollars and make gift baskets to sell. Or you could try a little carnival night and let people come out and have a night of fun the thing to do is make it free to get in and charge good on the price of tickets.
You could also have a taste fest every one in vovled could cook something that another state or counrty is famous for and everyone would enjoy tasteing all the different foods. Also you could rent a bounce house and have a childrens fun day let them win prizes and even have a little fun for the adults 2. Hope this helps you and good luck. LATER

My elementary school has these nights at local fast food restaurants. One of the PTA people set it up with the customer service rep. of the restaurant. It's like from 5-7pm and the principals go and have an eating contest which gets alll the kids to show up to see who wins and of course buy dinner for their family and a certain % goes to the school. One year the teachers got to serve french fries, another, the PE teacher and the principal had a race to put on a frozen t-shirt. The school sends out lots of reminders for the kids to encourage the family to attend. No fuss or mess to clean up. We also have a BBQ, a Green Eggs and Ham breakfast and sell tickets in advance.

There are many ways to raise money. You can have a car wash. You can have a bake sale. You can get some stuff that's laying around the house that you don't use anymore and have a yard sale . You can even ask your friends or your family to donate some stuff that they don't use, and remember one mans junk is another mans treasure . And last but not least you can also sell some donuts.

It really depends on the age group.

Car Washes are good.

A good one is you "auction" off members of your organization to go to people's homes and help them do spring cleaning. That way your group makes money and the public gets help with their cleaning.

You can do the same thing during Christmas time, but auction them off to help people decorate their yards and homes.

Have as many people as you know go to:

Supply-n-Learn.com

They can each purchase a Summer Bridge Workbook and $2 of each book sold can go to your organization.
